POLLYGARDEN is a Seoul ceramic studio run by Minjeong Kim and Juah Hong, transforming intuitive drawings into functional objects and sculptures through delicate clay layering. Using yeonlimun, a traditional Korean handcrafting technique of layering colored clays, we create unique patterns that bring warmth and individuality to daily life. Paper Mug Bubble is a lightweight mug that begins from a form inspired by rolled and joined paper drawings. It is made by attaching cross-sections of layered clay, piece by piece. Each mug has different patterns on the inside and outside, offering small moments of discovery as you use it. Shaped and assembled by hand, every piece is completed like a unique drawing of its own.
